Eligibility Criteria for the Labour Card Scholarship:

The Labour Card Scholarship is a program that offers financial assistance to students who meet certain requirements based on their residence, education, and economic situation.

  • Parental Employment: Student’s parents must be employed full-time in Beedi, Iron Ore Manganese & Chrome Mines, Limestone & Dolomite Mines, or Cine, with a minimum of 6 months of employment. This category also includes Contract/Ghar Khata (Home Based) workers.
  • Income Limit: Worker’s family monthly income from all sources should not exceed ₹10,000.
  • Educational Institute: Must be enrolled in Institutes that are Government/Government Recognized.
  • Course Exclusion: Not available for scholars students enrolled in correspondence courses.
  • Academic Performance: Eligible students must have passed the last qualifying examination on the first attempt. However, promoted students can also apply.
  • Bank Account: Applicants should possess a separate bank account. In a Joint Account, the first name should be that of the Scholar. If more than one child of the same worker is applying, each should furnish a separate bank account number.
